In 2009 I paid many visits to the studios of the artist, Martyn Brewster.
He had
been working hard for a year to complete a large body of abstract work for exhibition
in London.
In creating this group of paintings he was able to move into a new field of investigation: developing his colour ideas and investigating a different approach to his compositions.
In this film he shows us very many of his beautifully colourful silk screen monoprints, a selection from past work he has saved for his own collection, and then the birth and development of his brand-new body of paintings.
